Murray Hill HOST/WRITER/CO-CREATOR Murray Hill "the hardest-working middle-age man in show business" is a beloved entertainer, personality, newsmaker, comedian and host. He tirelessly performs in shows, films, videos, comedy clubs and on TV in his native New York and around the world. His smash-hit The Murray Hill Show, "a New York institution" (The New York Times), played over 5 sold-out years. Currently, he can be seen strutting his stuff in The Gossip video for "Listen Up" and this past year was on national TV (LOGO) with his segment "Year-end Review in Showbiz." He has performed for Penelope Cruz & Pedro Almodovar, hosted an Antony & The Johnsons concert, enjoyed a cameo in John Cameron Mitchell’s Shortbus, performed two SRO nights at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom and was inducted into PAPER Magazine’s Nightlife Hall of Fame. He has produced, written and starred in sold-out theatrical runs, including his infamous annual holiday show A Murray Little Christmas and performed comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade, Madison Square Garden, Gotham Comedy Club, Comix and headlined Murray on Broadway at the legendary Caroline’s. In summer 2005, Murray made his West End/UK debut in a 4-week run. He also appeared in Montreal in a run at the Just for Laughs Theater. Most recently, Angie was awarded the title Miss Cyclone, in honor of the Coney Island landmark roller coaster which she adores. This prestigious honor has afforded her the ability to rub elbows with NYC politicians and celebrities alike in the name of the world famous roller coaster and the preservation and advancement of historic Coney Island. She was chosen to throw out the opening pitch at the Cyclone’s Key Span Park baseball stadium during the Siren Music festival and proudly tossed a high powered strike from the pitchers mound in 4” heels! Helen Pontani After making her way to the Big Apple to fullfill her dreams of studying at the Alvin Ailey School of Dance and performing in modern dance companies, Helen decided it was time for false eyelashes and rhinestones, and The World Famous Pontani Sisters was born. Since its inception, the trio of temptresses has changed the face of burlesque as we know it. Helen has dazzled audiences from the gritty big top of Coney Island to the glittering lights of Hollywood, traveling in dozens of national and international tours while making frequent appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, MTV, and VH1 among others. Appearing in showstopping performances that have earned critical acclaim from the Times, Post, Daily News, Village Voice, and Time Out magazine. Peekaboo Pointe Peekaboo Pointe, known as the “Delinquent Darling of Burlesque, the Fastest Tassel-Twirler from East to West,” has graced the stage of nearly every burlesque show in New York City. Peekaboo started out as a classically trained modern dancer studying under Bill T. Jones, Mark Morris Dance Group, and a host of other notable choreographers. With an early background in ballet and tap, she eventually ventured off on a rare and unusual tour of Cuba studying Afro-Cuban Dance with the group Cutumba. Since then, Peekaboo has applied her extensive knowledge of dance to the nightlife of New York City and turned it into striptease gold. She embodies classic burlesque glamour, but can’t resist throwing a little seductive shock into each of her performances. As if that’s not enough, Peekaboo’s talented tassels spin not only on stage but also on a higher level. Adoring audiences are left breathless as she performs her rare and impressive shows of skill on the trapeze! Peekaboo and her twirling tassels have wowed crowds at over 70 different venues in New York City including the Copacabana, Slipper Room, Highline Ballroom, Lotus, and The Box, just to name a few. The Word Famous Pontani Sisters The World Famous Pontani Sisters are Helen, Tara, & Angie— three showbiz siblings raised on a steady diet of MGM Technicolor Musicals & Vintage Vegas chic! Performing professionally since 1997, the Pontani Sisters have been pioneers in the Burlesque revolution, doing their part to spread their glamour gospel to the masses. Their impeccable choreography and fancy costumes have garnered them international media attention and A-List bookings that include a run at Las Vegas’ Venetian as well as headlining appearances at the largest Burlesque events in the world, including Tease-O- Rama and The New York Burlesque Festival. They have successfully completed and produced over a dozen national tours and have appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Lil' Miss Lixx Lil Miss Lixx innocently wandered off a playground in Baltimore Maryland into the whirlwind of New York City. Immediately, she became enthralled in the wonderful world of burlesque. A classically trained ballerina, Lixx traded in her pointe shoes for pasties! She hypnotizes audiences with her cute sass, flirty smile and naughty Lolita-like look. Lixx has had the honor of gracing such stages as The Slipper Room, Webster Hall, Mo Pitkins, The Bowery Poetry Club, Galapagos Art Space, Corio, and Coney Island's Sideshows by the Seashore. She also headlined the World Famous *BOB*'s monthly show in June 2007 and was crowned Starshine's 2008 Summer Starlet. Miss Saturn Miss Saturn is a physical comedian, character actor and hula hoop (artist being the first to bring the hula hoop to the burlesque stage) and is a mainstay in NYC's top vaudeville and cabaret scene. Performing original work that combines vaudeville antics, saucy burlesque, audience interaction, impeccable timing, costumes, music and quite often 40 hula hoops, makes Miss Saturn a vision that was only previously known in your wildest dreams. She is a chameleon, capable of embodying a wide range of characters, from the burlesque sizzler Miss Saturn to Svetlana, the Russian diva and hula hoop artist and Jenny Jenny, a big kid in an adults body. As well as being a creator and member of Animal Crackers, a newly formed dance, comedy and improv quartet made of some of the most sought after burlesque performers and clowns in New York.
